TOdyssey Ddyssyt gtHouse School Highgate, London Admssions have nown-opened Lumited places avalable Judged as 'Good' by Ofsted, Odyssey House is a unique & small independent school offering full- time education for pupils between the ages of 7-16 years. We also offer transition and outreach education for a small number of pupils who are registered on our school roll. Despite the limitations of C-19, we have managed to offer our full curriculum offering (including a blend of online learning and face to face lessons in the school) to all our pupils during the lockdown due to our small pupil groups and our homely / nurturing school environment. The Nostos Programme: Transition to Education The Ithaca Programme: Education Outreach Our track record even in a very short time since our inception, evidences our ability to integrate and engage pupils who have missed out on education. Aimed to help children who face significant barriers that inhibit their ability to access a formal education setting - due to medical factors, social and emotional difficulties and/or just a preference for home schooling. A specialist 12-week school integration programme. Using a therapeutically led approach, pupils are supported by a structured and goal orientated programme individually designed to encourage gradual positive re-engagement into full-time education. A bespoke and specialist offering to education in the home with options including moving towards a bespoke transition experience or maintaining an empowering learning experience off-site to help them achieve their personal best. Typically, pupils join the school with poor previous educational experiences, often resulting in anxiety and long absences from full-time education.they arrive feeling anxious about joining a new school. They worry about attending lessons and meeting new people. Specialist staff teach pupils various strategies to overcome their anxieties. This enables pupils to make new friends and build their self-confidence. Pupils' attendance is high, and they demonstrate positive attitudes to learning. They become happy and successful learners.
